It sells data packages for more than 200 destinations. You don&#8217;t need to be a Telekom customer to buy one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four package families: Lite, Standard, Max and Unlimited. Validity runs from one to 30 days, with no contract. Telekom says it draws on around 600 international partner networks. You can also manage several eSIMs from one account, which suits families travelling together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why does this matter? Most travel eSIM brands buy data wholesale and repackage it. Now one of the world&#8217;s biggest wholesalers is selling direct to the same traveller. Update your phone before you fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same month, <a href=\"https:\/\/manilatimes.net\/2026\/09\/29\/tmt-newswire\/media-outreach-newswire\/kigen-automotive-esim-first-to-achieve-gsma-esa-certification-bringing-latest-sgp32-security-to-connected-vehicle-oems-for-long-life-fleets\/2434596\">Kigen announced<\/a> the first GSMA eSA-certified eSIM supporting SGP.32 v1.3. That&#8217;s the latest GSMA specification for IoT eSIMs. It targets connected cars, with samples reaching car makers from October. You won&#8217;t buy this yourself. Australia: an inquiry recommends national roaming for Triple Zero<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Closer to home, a Senate committee made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telecoms.com\/enterprise-telecoms\/inquiry-calls-for-australia-to-nationalise-triple-zero\">11 recommendations<\/a> after the September 2025 Optus outage disrupted access to Triple Zero. The headline items are a new statutory body to take over the emergency call role Telstra has held since 1961, national roaming for voice and text, and the option to text Triple Zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pressure hasn&#8217;t eased. Local media reported an Optus outage earlier this month that disrupted 39 Triple Zero calls in Victoria.
